Zou Arc (Chapters 802–824)

The Zou Arc bridges the events of Dressrosa and Whole Cake Island arcs. It focuses on the Straw Hat Pirates’ reunion with their separated crew members, the introduction of the Mink Tribe, and the alliance’s preparation for upcoming battles. Zou, an island on the back of a giant elephant, becomes the setting for uncovering major secrets and forging crucial alliances.

Chapters 802–806: Arrival at Zou

The Straw Hat crew arrives at Zou and is awed by the massive, ancient elephant, Zunesha, carrying the island on its back. They find the island in ruins after an invasion by Jack, a member of Kaido’s crew. The crew reunites with Sanji’s group and learns about the Mink Tribe’s plight.

Chapters 807–811: The Mink Tribe’s Resilience

The Mink Tribe reveals their loyalty and bravery, having resisted Jack’s torture while protecting Raizo, a Wano samurai. Despite Jack’s destructive use of poison gas, the tribe survives thanks to Chopper’s medical expertise. Luffy and the crew are deeply moved by the Minks’ spirit.

Chapters 812–816: Sanji’s Departure

The crew discovers that Sanji has been taken by Capone Bege and the Big Mom Pirates due to his arranged marriage to Charlotte Pudding. Sanji leaves willingly to protect his crew but writes a note promising to return. Luffy decides to rescue Sanji, setting the stage for the Whole Cake Island Arc.

Luffy hears Zunesha’s voice during an attack by Jack. The crew learns that Zunesha committed a grave crime centuries ago and is forbidden to act unless commanded. Luffy orders Zunesha to fight, resulting in Jack’s defeat. The crew prepares to split up, with some heading to Whole Cake Island to rescue Sanji and others traveling to Wano.
